MOTEK is the Old and (Already) the New World Champion!

Motek

The international trade fair for handling and assembly technology will once again occupy its uncontested pole position for the 25th year of its existence.

Frickenhausen, 26 January 2006 – Demonstration lesson for copycats, or why a comparative glance at the Internet pays off: Already at the beginning of 2006 – and thus more than 8 months before the 25th MOTEK opens its doors – it’s becoming plainly apparent that the international trade fair for handling and assembly technology is leaving the competitors in a cloud of dust despite their aggressive manner. And “generously” elaborated, not to mention dubiously inflated exhibitor lists, won’t help the competition either, because in the final analysis it’s the bare figures and the quality of the trade fair offerings that make the difference! And finally, even questionable to extremely unfair canvassing and poaching actions which are intended to befuddle the market have not been, nor will they be able to stop or top MOTEK’s sustained success, which is clearly evident based upon current booking figures which can be viewed by anybody on the Internet.

Convincing Success …
However, due to the fact that private trade fair promoter Paul E. Schall is not of the opinion that rudeness necessarily needs to be answered with more rudeness, the creators of the technical trade fair are satisfied with putting substantiatable figures onto the table. And these indicate that as of the end of January 2006, more than 750 companies from inside and outside of Germany have concluded binding contracts for participation at the event. For Rainer Bachert, longstanding MOTEK project manager, it is thus foreseeable that MOTEK 2006 will once again present itself to national and international expert visitors just as convincingly as it did in 2005, namely with approximately 1000 exhibitors. Pavilion planning is now running at fill bore, because returning exhibitors naturally want to keep their old booth locations, and the trend towards larger booths must be taken into consideration as well.

… of the Leading Trade Fair for Handling and Assembly Technology …
Many of the exhibitors are apparently, as it were, making hay while the sun shines, and want to establish themselves even more firmly as part of the MOTEK family in anticipation of the event’s relocation to the new Stuttgart Exhibition Centre in the year 2007. And it must be mentioned as well that some of the returning exhibitors are adopting a sort of double strategy this year and will exhibit at both of the well known trade fairs. There are certainly no objections to this, because alone the market – that is to say responsible entrepreneurs and above all the expert visitors –, and not misinterpreted special interests or competition amongst trade fair promoters, should and will decide which event will earn the title of “leading trade fair”. And simply laying claim to this distinction does not suffice either: The respective event will have to live up to its title in actual practice by providing adequate content.

… as an Entirely Unique Event!
Within this context, it is well worth mentioning that the MOTEK international trade fair for handling and assembly technology presents the entire spectrum of components, subsystems and complete solutions to a greater extent than any other similarly positioned trade fair anywhere in the world, whereas all of the competing events demonstrate substantial deficits in this area. Automation in the fields of assembly and industrial production begins with the use of small auxiliary devices for detail solutions, and goes all the way up to multifunctional robot systems which are integrated into complete production and assembly sequences – for material flow as well. MOTEK is justified in claiming to be the only technical trade fair which presents comprehensive worldwide offerings for assembly and production automation, and has a lot more to offer than just a few dancing robots. Finally, foreign and domestic expert visitors want to experience “their” components, subsystems and complete solutions in action, and not just view them as static displays. And this is only possible if complete offerings are presented which cover the entire sequence.
