MOTEK 2009 – Facts and Figures
Roughly 1200 companies from the industry sector occupied approximately 860,000 square feet of overall exhibition floor space at the last MOTEK. With 1000 exhibitors from Germany and almost 200 from other countries, MOTEK represented the industry’s portfolio more extensively than any other event. And nearly 40,000 expert visitors were convinced by these offerings, 16% of whom came from foreign countries near and far, and gathered the information they need for their rationalisation and automation plans. 64% of the expert visitors indicated that they play a leading role in the decision making process, and 24% said that they make a significant contribution to the decision making process as advisors.

The spectrum of offerings presented by MOTEK exhibitors is the workhorse for users from all over the world, who view MOTEK as their most important platform for information, communication and procurement: With more than one possible answer, 57% of the event’s expert visitors indicated that assembly technology and assembly automation were their main areas of interest, 47% were focussed primarily on robotics and handling technology, 28% specified automation relevant drive technology and 28% control technology as additional, important fields of activity. MOTEK is the only technical trade fair anywhere in the world to offer “everything” for the process sequence for automated assembly and production technology – for manufacturers of machinery and equipment, as well as for in-house fabrication of operating equipment and self-sufficient users.
