27th MOTEK from 22 through 25 September 2008

With 1160 exhibitors from 25 industrialised nations, the MOTEK leading international trade fair will present worldwide offerings in the fields of handling and assembly technology, as well as robotics, i.e. industrial handling.
The MOTEK international trade fair for handling and assembly technology will take place at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre for the second time from the 22nd through the 25th of September, 2008. With a record breaking number of exhibitors, namely 1160, as well as a new record for overall occupied floor space amounting to 807,000 square feet, the 27th MOTEK is eclipsing everything that has taken place in the past, including all competing events. The new venue in Stuttgart is an important factor in MOTEK’s expanding internationalism, and in 2008 exhibitors will come to the industry event for handling and assembly technology and robotics from 25 industrialised nations to present expert visitors with their products and services.
Qualitative and Quantitative Growth
According to longstanding MOTEK project manager Rainer Bachert, growth has by no means slowed down during the second year after the relocation to Stuttgart, so that additional pavilions at the new Stuttgart Exhibition Centre have had to be earmarked for MOTEK 2008 with its current total of 807,000 square feet of overall exhibition floor space. Together with the 2nd BONDexpo, which will take place at the same time as the 27th MOTEK, the two events will nearly occupy the entire Stuttgart Exhibition Centre with far more than 1200 exhibitors all in all. Within this context, it’s interesting to note that more robot system integrators and robotics suppliers will be represented at MOTEK than ever before, and will present international expert visitors with application and automation opportunities for a great number of industry sectors.
Advantage for Expert Visitors: Comprehensive Offerings
MOTEK’s broad based and comprehensive range of offerings, which is nevertheless clearly focused on production and assembly automation, as well as industrial handling, is a decisive advantage for users. Because only at MOTEK in Stuttgart do users find components and assemblies for detail solutions, subsystems for setting up automation and assembly systems, and of course complete solutions for flexible, economical assembly. From the smallest details right on up to system solutions for installing and implementing assembly systems, trade fair offerings at MOTEK cover all of this and more.
And information in theory and practice regarding all relevant trends and developments, plus successful applications for production, assembly and process automation, are covered by the accompanying technical programme offered at MOTEK with its seminars, symposiums and the exhibitor forum.
MOTEK as an Economic Driver
Last but not least, MOTEK 2008 will take place at exactly the right time, because on the one hand the analysts are foretelling a weakening economy and, on the other hand, many companies are currently pushing themselves right to the limit. One way or the other, consistent production and assembly automation is the key to securing the required competitive edge, especially in light of the fact that the competition from far away lands is stronger and more quality conscious than ever before, although it is being confronted to an ever greater extent with relatively quickly and drastically rising wage costs. MOTEK exhibitors of handling and assembly technology, as well as robotics, are thus provided with opportunities, because foreign manufacturing companies will also have to automate to a greater degree than before, for which reason they will also come to Stuttgart to attend the 27th MOTEK and gather information regarding opportunities, offerings and innovations.
