MOTEK 2008 – Even More Power at the New Location
The risk of relocation is paying off! Relocation from Sinsheim to the southern German metropolis of Stuttgart prompted many new exhibitors to participate at MOTEK 2007. And they weren’t disappointed, because the number of attending expert visitors grew by more than 30%, resulting in an impressive total of 38,144! More than 6100 visitors came from foreign countries near and far, which corresponds to an increase of roughly 40%. With more than 1100 exhibitors, MOTEK was able to further expand and firm up its reputation as the industry Mecca for handling and assembly technology – MOTEK is the recognised, leading international trade fair!

From zero to a hundred or from 484,000 to nearly 700,000 square feet of exhibition floor space, 915 exhibitors from Germany and 188 more from other countries – as the industry’s undisputed leading event for handling and assembly technology, and industrial handling, MOTEK presents up-to-date worldwide offerings in all pertinent areas. And this is how expert visitors from inside and outside of Germany see things as well, because 94% indicated that their expectations hade been entirely fulfilled in response to a survey conducted at MOTEK 2007 – MOTEK presents the directly exploitable state-of-the-art!
MOTEK 2008 – Technology and Economic Driver for Industrial Handling
The range of topics covered by MOTEK reflects the interests of the expert visitors: With 60%, assembly technology takes first place amongst the expert visitors (more than one answer possible), followed by handling and robot technology with 47% and joining and bonding techniques with 14%. 54% of the event’s expert visitors came from the fields of machinery, equipment and systems manufacturing, 28% from electronics, electrical engineering, automobile manufacturing and suppliers to the automotive industry, and the rest were divided up amongst plastics processing and metalworking, as well as other industries. MOTEK plays a key role in these sectors where the selection of new technologies and processes, as well as products and systems for streamlining production and assembly is concerned – MOTEK promotes technology transfer between manufacturers and users!
